The boundaries of Mahabubabad are Bhadradri district
to East, Warangal district to West, Jayashankar district to North, Khammam
district to South and Suryapet district to South-west. According to 2011
census, the district consists of 770,170 population and occupies an area about
2,876.70 sq.km. Munneru, the tributary of Krishna river flows on West side of
the district.
Divisions
There are Two revenue divisions in Mahabubabad
namely Mahabubabad and Thorrur. Each divison is divided into Mandals. There are
12 mandals in the district and 1 assembly constituency ie. Mahabubabad. Preeti
Meena is the collector to the district.
Economy
The district consists of Rich deposits of Iron ore
mineral and this is the economy to the district.
