Gadwal Fort History
Gadwal fort or Gadwal Samsthanam is a part in
Mahabubnagar district ruled by Somashekar Anada reddy/Somanadri. The fort was
built by the ruler Somanadri and was protected by Mallichetti Vamshiyulu.
Nagappa was Ayngarakshakulu of Gadwal fort and was died in the war with
sultans. After his son Narasappa took the Ayngarakshakulu position but
unfortunately, he had to leave the palace.
Gadwal Sarees
Gadawal is very famous for Handloom Jari sarees that
have been born in 1930s. The speciality is the weavers can weave the fabric
saree with 5.5 meters can easily folded down into a small match box. Every
year, Tirumala Lord Sri Venkateshwara swamy Brahmotsavam starts with Gadwala
