Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri is one of the 31 districts in
Telangana. Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district was formed from Nalgonda district in
October 2016 reorganisation. The name Initially was Tribhuvanagiri and
gradually called as Bhuvanagiri and now Bhongir, derived from Bhuvanagiri fort
which was built by Tribhuanamalla Vikramaditya VI. The district head quarters

The boundaries of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri are Warangal
district to East, Malkajgiri district to West, Siddipet district to North,
Nalgonda district to South, Suryapet district to South-east, Ranga reddy
district to South-west. According to 2011 census, the district consists of
726,465 population and occupies an area about 3,091.48 sq.km.
Divisions
There are Two revenue divisions in
Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri namely Bhongir and Choutuppal. Each divison is divided into
Mandals. There are 16 mandals in the district. Bhongir has a Lok Sabha
constituency which was came into existence in 2008. Anita Ramachandran is the
collector to the district. Pailla Sekhar Reddy is the MLA to the district.
Economy
Agriculture and Textile Industry is the main economy
in the district. Musi river, local tanks and wells are the main source for
Irrigation. Pochampally Handlooms in the district are widely famous. Medium and
Small scale industries are the employment sources to the Local people in the
district.

Yadagirigutta which was very famous for Narasimha Swamy
Temple and Hillock, Bhongir fort, Someshwara Temple, Sri Hanuman Temple,
Vishnukundam Pushkarini, Surendrapuri Kaladhamam, Lotus Temple, Sri
