The boundaries of Karimnagar are Rajanna district to East, Jayashankar Bhupalpally to West, Peddapalli and Jagtial districts to North, Siddipet and Warangal districts to South. According to 2011 census, the district consists of 1,005,711 population and occupies an area about 2,379 sq.km. The district is a part of Red corridor. The district is located on the banks of River Godavari.


Divisions

There are Two revenue divisions in Karimnagar namely Karimnagar and Huzurabad. Each divison is divided into Mandals. There are 16 mandals and 1 Municipal corporation ie. Karimnagar in the district. Sarfaraz Ahmed is the Collector to the district.

The boundaries of Kamareddy are Karimnagar district to East, Medak district to West, Nizamabad district to North, Sangareddy district to South, Siddipet district to South-east, Nanded and Bidar districts to South-west. According to 2011 census, the district consists of 972,625 population and occupies an area about 3,651 sq.km. The district is the 14th largest one in Telangana in terms of area.

The boundaries of Jagtial district are Komaram Bheem district to East, Nizamabad district to West, Nirmal district to North, Mancherial district to North-east, Karimnagar district to South, Peddapalli district to South-west. According to 2011 census, the district consists of 983,414 population and occupies an area about 3,043.23 sq.km.

History of Hyderabad News

Hyderabad was established by Mohammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 and was ruled by Qutb shahi dynasty for about a century.
