Telangana is one among the 29 states in India. As per 2011 census, Telangana consists of 35,193,978 population and is covering an area of about 112,077 sq km. Telanagana is the twelfth largest and most populated state in India. Telangana is divided into 31 districts. Earlier Telangana was merged with Andhra Pradesh. After the movement, Telangana was seperated and formed as a state in June 2, 2014. Now Hyderabad is serving as a joint capital for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states for a period of  ten years.

Telangana economy is mainly based on Agriculture. Two important rivers of India flows through Telangana State and provide Irrigation, they are Godavari, Krishna. Rain fed water sources are mainly used for irrigation in Telangana. The major food crop of Telangana is Rice (paddy).
