Adilabad District News on Geography

The boundaries of Adilabad are Asifabad district to East, Nanded district of Maharastra to West, Yavatmal district to North, Nirmal district to South, Mancherial district to South-east, Chandrapur district of Mahrastra to North-east. According to 2011 census, the district consists of 708,952 population and occupies an area about 4,185.97 sq.km. The district is a part of Red corridor. Godavari, Pranahitha and Penaganga etc are the rivers that flows through the district which helps for irrigation.

Divisions

There are Two revenue divisions in Adilabad namely Adilabad and Utnoor. Each divison is divided into Mandals. There are 18 Mandals in the district. Adilabad has one Lok Sabha constituency and Assembly constituency.
